Oh the stories I could tell!

Well we have arrived in sunny (and really, really hot) Orlando, Florida. This has been quite a 24 hours since I left my house last night.

A couple of things before we begin. Please check out our photos at http://picasaweb.google.com/gregandmatt/Orlando#

Also follow us on Twitter @kraussdaddy and @mattbarbour ... if you do tweet us regarding General Assembly, please add #GAC2009 to your posts.

We begin most of our activities tomorrow so we will be blogging and tweeting all day tomorrow with quotes, photos, and funny things you will be so sick of hearing from us.

So I will copy for today only Matt's blog and his format with my observations.
- The trust of the entire plane was in my hands as I got the one seat next to the emergency exit. I have never had so much control over peoples' potential destinies as I did at that moment. If only ministry was that easy. If I told all those people to kick off their heals and jump down the slide they would so that they could save their own lives. Why when the gospel is shared, our words don't have the same effect?
- On the same flight, I needed to ask for a seat belt extension on both flights. This is not an indication of my size, but rather on how crappy Air Canada's seat size is!
- Last night (monday)) we started our prep with picking up Marcus (@mafouger) then heading to Matt's home. Here we ate muffins, watched a documentary on ogopogo sea monster from BC, and passed out around 2:00am for some sleep on the couch. Here I also drank six month old A&W rootbeer.
- We also watched a animated short called Madame Tutli Putli. If you have a chance, and you happen to be under the influence of drugs, watch this!!!
- In Exodus, God calls the Israelites a bunch of stiff necked people (after worshipping the Golden Calf) I know why this is now... God decided to have mercy on them from their walk through the desert and had them all cram into a crappy CRJ 100 plane with Air Canada
- Watched Gran Tourino on the flight from T.O. to Orlando. TV kept cutting out the whole flight but the part I did see, makes me want to watch the whole thing
- I was assaulted today 10 times... by the beverage cart on the flight to Orlando.
- We had a great dinner and enjoyed singing "Africa" by Toto on the trolley to the Golden Corral!

I will definately keep you in the loop. If you have questions for us, comment on the blog. Pics you want to see, send us a tweet. Whatever it takes.

Love you and miss you all (especially my wife and unborn little one!!!)

Peace!
Greg "the big show" Krauss

Sweatin' it out!

As most of you know I am not much for words. So I will update this with short yet frequent postings. Today we got up around 5am and hit the road for the airport. Here is our journey from then on in point form.
-Our first plane smelled exactly like a urinal cake. Can make a fella nausea's after a couple hours.
-Our second plane was vibrating really badly. My truck was doing that last week. I should recommend to the pilot that he needs new bearings and possibly a tire rod end. A Mazda runs you about 1200 bucks for that. A boeing shouldn't be much more or less.
-Same plane... what does it mean when the landing gear is dropped, you start to descend, followed by the plane accelerating and then bringing the landing gear back up?
-Landed. It's hot. Registered. I could hit the convention center from my window with a rock yet it takes me 20 minutes to walk there.
-Ate at Golden Corral. I ate far too much but it was so good.
-Waited for almost an hour for the bus. Greg really needed to drop a deuce. Quite entertaining.
-Went to the pool. Good times.
Good Night. Love, Matt.
